Bieber's New Acoustic Album Ignites Twitter Trending Topics
Justin Bieber's much-anticipated Believe Acoustic album came out Tuesday, and listeners' reactions to the music quickly spawned two worldwide trending topics on Twitter.
Hashtag #ThankYouForBelieveAcoustic and the phrase "Believe Acoustic Deserves A Grammy" trended as user excitement swelled. The Grammy trending topic is in response to Bieber's non-acoustic version of Believe failing to earn any Grammy nominations.

Don't Be Afraid to Let It Out, Politicians says Hillary Clinton during Her last day in office
Hillary Clinton is spending her last days as Secretary of State by testifying before two Congressional Committees about the September attacks on a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. She was ready to discuss the ongoing investigation and she was ready to share the measures that will be taken to protect diplomats on foreign soil from here on out... but she was not ready to beat a dead horse. When repeatedly asked — or hounded, really — by Republicans to explain why the State Department was not forthcoming with their information in the hours after the attack, Clinton gave an explosive response. And thank goodness she did.
Let’s Cast the Mega-upload Movies as Kim Dotcom Returns
Kim Dotcom, the indicted, outrageous Mega-upload tycoon, is
back with a new file-sharing service. And the FBI, Hollywood and others are
watching very closely.
A year ago, on January 20, 2012, Dotcom (born Kim Schmitz)
was arrested and police seized about $5 million worth of cars and froze about
$11 million in bank accounts. Amazing over-the-top photos of him posing on the
beach with bikini babes and living it up in yacht hot tubs spread made him a
fast Internet celebrity.
And even though he's still facing charges of pirating copyrighted
material and money laundering in the U.S., he boldly announced on Sunday (from
his New Zealand mansion) the launch of his new site, Mega, which allows users
to store, share and encrypt files. (The big fear? That pirated material will be
easily hidden, like a Swiss bank account for data.)

Ben and Kate' Canceled? Fox Pulls Tuesday Comedy from Lineup
Lesson learned, America: You do not want to watch too many hilarious things on Tuesday nights. One day after ABC pulled Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23 from its comedy block, effectively canceling the sophomore sitcom, Fox has done the same with its under performing Ben and Kate.
It's ok, we'll pause for your outraged "nooooo!"
The freshman comedy is off the network's Tuesday night schedule effective immediately, and now resides in that not-officially-canceled-but-probably-won't-be-seen-again purgatory that too many quality shows find themselves in nowadays. Hollywood.com has confirmed that there are no current plans as to when we'll be able to see the unaired episodes.
Don’t Trust the B’ Pulled from ABC Schedule, Is it Cancelled?
Bad news for fans of the B: ABC has yanked its sophomore comedy Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23 from its Tuesday night lineup, and there's no word on the future of the quirky series.
Hollywood.com has confirmed a report from The Hollywood Reporter that new episodes of the show have been yanked effective Jan. 29, when Happy Endings, its lead-in, will air back-to-back new episodes for the rest of its season. The comedies were already scheduled to end in March so ABC could launch its mid-season shows..ENYP472WM2VZ
It doesn't take a TV expert to know that this is not a good thing for the dark comedy, which features two Odd Couple-like room-mates and their friend, a heightened-reality d-bag version of James Van Der Beek, played by James Van Der Beek.
Is it Sexist for Us to Worship Michelle Obama’s Look?
The media focused so much on Michelle Obama’s looks for yesterday’s inauguration that The Daily Show correspondents spent an entire segment wearing bobs-with-bangs wigs. Yes, we all got a little too excited this week about Michelle Obama’s spectacular new bangs. Even I, a long-time bang advocate, found myself particularly surprised by how flattering they looked on the First Lady.
And yes, I’m totally fine with having that thought.
One could make the argument that we are being superficial and ignoring the real issues by spending time on Michelle Obama’s shocking aesthetic decisions — not just bangs, but a Jason Wu gown for the second inauguration in a row! But one can also be pretty sure that the same air time and publication space used to discuss such matters would not automatically be turned over to incisive analyses of geopolitics. If anything, they’d be in danger of occupation by a Kardashian or Real Housewifian sartorial choice. Wouldn't you rather see Michelle Obama there?
Why There Needs to Be a Prince Harry Movie But Not Yet Time.
Despite what rapt media attention might suggest, England's royal family hasn't been interesting since George VI overcame a stutter to become king and helped Harvey Weinstein achieve Oscar gold. Yes, Kate Middleton is beautiful and stately, and Prince William boasts a kind-heartedness reminiscent of his beloved mother, but there's a reason our focus on the royal couple hones in on their wardrobe. There hasn't been a figure with a unique story worthy of cinematic treatment, even if Lifetime might try to tell you otherwise.
But in the past year, that's changed. After spending years living in his older brother's heartthrob shadow, Prince Harry has emerged from his pigeon-holed status as the royal family's underachieving ginger and transformed into the most fascinating British figure of the 21st century. Harry's a playboy. Harry's an overgrown imp. Harry's a terrible Halloween dresser. Harry's a respected member of the British Army. Harry, as we learned during a BBC interview that aired Monday, has killed people. Prince Harry, over the course of his 28 years, has become so many different things, he's achieved a feat impossible for most celebrities: He's become multi-dimensional.
Nostalgia Overload! NKOTB, 98 Degrees, and Boyz II Men Are Touring Together
If the constant onslaught of '90s nostalgia (thanks, Buzzfeed!) has been any indication, anyone born in the '80s just finds it way too hard to say goodbye to yesterday. Luckily for the Nickelodeon-raised, Ecto Cooler-swilling members of Generation Y, it doesn't appear to be coming to an end anytime soon.
To counter the '90s rock super tour lineup that included the likes of Sugar Ray, Lit, and Everclear that hit the road last summer, over on the pop spectrum, New Kids On The Block joined forces with their fellow boy band behemoths Backstreet Boys to create the ultimate dreamy boy band NKOTBSB. Not only did they wind up recording new songs together, but the two groups toured the country singing their classics, sending the jelly shoe and slap bracelet-wearing community into an utter screaming frenzy.
It seems the NKOTB are hell-bent on bringing back all the boy bands of yesteryear, as it was announced on Tuesday that 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men will join them on a 28-city tour this summer. (So look out, Menudo, BBMak, and NSYNC; Joey, Jordan, Donnie, Jonathan, and Danny are going to be comin' for ya!) Check out the full list of dates and prices here.
James Franco Writes a Poem for Barack Obama's Inauguration About James Franco
Monday marked the inauguration of Barack Obama into his second term of the United States Presidency. It marked the 27th official celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It marked a celebration of the magnificent strides our nation has made over the past half a century in the realm of civil rights. But standing above and beyond each of these majestic individuals and phenomena is James Franco. At least as far as James Franco is concerned.
In honour of Obama's commencement of another four years as America's leader, Yahoo approached aspiring everything James Franco to pen a poem about the momentous date. A brief artistic expression of the occasion's political and cultural significance would be nice, the fine people at Yahoo might have thought. A true, earnest, objective perspective about the grandeur of this point in our nation's history.
But Yahoo's Franco radar must have run out of juice sometime around the announcement of 127 Hours. Maybe they heard he fancied himself a writer, too. Maybe they thought, "Now here's a star who can really handle a role!" And, in all parties' defence he truly can. But they might not have been entirely aware of everything that James Franco has become over the course of the last year and change.
The free verse piece that was crafted by the actor-director-screenwriter-novelist-documentarian-pornographer-awards show host-shoe advertiser-teacher-guy who you have to assume is just f**king with us at this point-calligrapher strays quite a few kilometers (Franco is strictly a metric man) from what anyone might have anticipated a poem about Obama's inauguration would be. Instead of paying primary focus to the Commander-in-Chief, Franco opts for a more Charlie Kaufmanian approach (funny, since sometimes I think he's pulling an Andy Kaufman on all of us), lamenting his own inability to effectively write about the subject at hand.
Beyonce Lip-Synced the National Anthem? Why We’re Refusing to Believe It
The First Lady of pop culture sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" to such perfection during Monday's inauguration celebration in Washington D.C. that it practically made us cry tears of red, white, and blue. It was absolutely flawless, as we knew it would be. Bey can do no wrong. Yet, Tuesday morning, it was reported that Queen B lip-synced her soul-stirring performance and suddenly, it felt like the color was drained from the sky, the grass ceased to grow, and the wind got just a bit colder. Beyoncé's spellbinding performance was a fake?
According to a statement from a Marine Corps band spokesperson, the "music" for the performance was pre-recorded. "We don't know why Beyoncé decided to use prerecorded music … All music [for inaugural ceremonies] is prerecorded as a matter of course, and that's something we've done for years and years. The Marine Band did perform live throughout the ceremony but we received last-minute word that Beyoncé wanted to use the recording," they told the London Times. Furthermore, the Times states, "A spokeswoman for the Marine Corp Band Kristen DuBois said it was standard procedure to record a backing track..."
Now, the Internet has widely accepted this all to mean that Beyoncé wasn't actually singing, but Bey has yet to respond to requests for confirmation. Because we'd like to keep on assuming that the sun is still shining, the birds are still singing, and life is still beautiful, we're choosing to accept the traditional definition of a "backing track," which is pre-recorded studio music to, well, back a singer's performance — not replace the singer's voice altogether.
Pretty Little Liars': Keegan Allen and Troian Bellisario on Spencer and Toby's Big Reveal
How would you feel if your amazing, sweet and incredibly sexy boyfriend was actually working with a team of psychopaths whose main goal in life was to stalk and torment you? Damn! Hard to even imagine, right? Well in tonight’s highly anticipated Pretty Little Liars, Spencer is finally going to discover something that we've already known for months: Toby is a full-fleged, scheme-creating, black hoodie-wearing member of the A team. Get excited little liars, because the result is going to be absolutely jaw-dropping.
In preparation for the nail-biting reveal, Hollywood.com sat down with stars Keegan Allen and Troian Bellisario to discuss tonight's episode, “Misery Loves Company.” And guess what? Toby's not the only one with a secret...
Allen dishes that all the drama unfolds on the couple's anniversary. “Spencer will find out," he says. "But it blows open the relationship in a really dangerous way." Bellisario adds, “The scene itself is just going to be a whirlwind for everybody.”

Martin Luther King, Jr. Had a Dream: 10 Inspiring TV and Movie Speeches
Nearly 50 years ago, Martin Luther King, Jr. told us he had
a dream. And, to this day, the civil activist's speech on the steps of the
Lincoln Memorial in 1963 remains one of the most famous — if not the most
famous — in history.
President Obama and 11 Surprisingly Young Hot Politicians (Gerald Ford)
Michelle Obama, complete with brand-new bangs, wasn't the
only political figure who looked, well, banging' at the 2013 Inauguration.
President Barack Obama was also in command of his appearance while being sworn
in as Commander-in-Chief Monday.
But while photographic evidence has proven Obama to be
dapper for decades, how did our former presidents look while they were young?
What did they look like before scandal, government fiscal irresponsibility, and
an insatiable taxpaying public turned their hair white?
Turns out, they were total babes. In celebration of the 2013
Inauguration, take a look at our gallery of 11 politicians (including this
former president, to the left) when they were young… and hot. Hail to the
chief, indeed.
Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson And More Perform During 2013 Inauguration.
If there's anything more difficult than following Aretha
Franklin, it's following Aretha Franklin's hat. But four years after the soul
singer bedazzled her way onto the inauguration stage, Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson,
and James Taylor did their best to pay patriotic tribute to President Barack
Obama as he was sworn into office.
Taylor, armed with only a guitar, performed a stripped-down,
much-shortened version of "America the Beautiful," while Clarkson and
Beyoncé — in her first post-Blue Ivy on-camera performance — had the difficult
task of following Obama's inauguration speech with "My Country 'Tis of
Thee" (seemingly read off a teleprompter) and "The Star-Spangled
Banner," respectively. (Pulling out her earpiece, Beyoncé appeared to
suffer sound problems during her performance... not that you'd notice listening
to her
Lupe Fiasco Escorted Off-Stage at concert Following Anti-Obama Rant during Obama 2013 Inauguration.
Rapper Lupe Fiasco lived up to his surname at a
pre-inauguration performance at the Hamilton Live Theatre Sunday night. The
outspoken artist, who has criticized President Barack Obama for his views on
the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, unleashed a diatribe against the recently
sworn-in president halfway through a performance.
"[Rush] Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist,
Gaza Strip was getting bombed, Obama didn't say s**t. That's why I ain't vote
for him, next one either," Fiasco rapped on stage.
Fans at the concert to hear Fiasco weren't pleased with his
verse, however. Soon after the crowd began to grow restless with the rapper's
views, Fiasco was escorted off-stage by security . Organizers of the event
released the following statement about Sunday's concert:
Lupe Fiasco performed at this private event, and as you may
have read, he left the stage earlier than we had planned. But Lupe Fiasco was not
“kicked off stage” for an “anti-Obama rant.” We are staunch supporters of free
speech, and free political speech. This was not about his opinions. Instead,
after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally
dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act. Lupe Fiasco
repeated the one song for more than 40 minutes.
